Microbiology
A foundation in the world of microorganisms.
Teaching experience includes microbiology at B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biotechnology levels, as well as food microbiology and microbial biotechnology.
SUBJECT EXPERTISE
My expertise is grounded in formal scientific education and experience teaching core biotechnology and life-science subjects. These are the areas I bring to educational work.
A foundation in the world of microorganisms.
Teaching experience includes microbiology at B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biotechnology levels, as well as food microbiology and microbial biotechnology.
Connecting biological knowledge with applications.
Academic training at master’s level is complemented by teaching microbial biotechnology and large-scale manufacturing processes within a B.Sc. Biotechnology curriculum.
Understanding life through its molecular processes.
Biochemistry teaching has spanned B.Tech., B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biotechnology curricula, alongside a broader background in biology and chemistry tutoring.
Looking closely at how living systems work.
Experience teaching cell biology and genetics in undergraduate biotechnology, and molecular biology at B.Sc. level.
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Microbiology focuses on microorganisms, while biochemistry examines the chemical processes of life. Cell biology and genetics add perspectives on the organisation of living systems and the inheritance of biological information.
Biotechnology draws these ideas together in applications and processes. This relationship gives students a useful way to organise their learning: understand the underlying biology, then connect it to what that knowledge makes possible.
My experience in these areas is educational: subject teaching, curriculum-aligned resources and academic coordination.
